TINY Antique English dairy milk can; tinned steel with brass fixtures and bale handle, c.1900. This tiny oval-shaped pail would have been filled with a single serving of either milk or cream – a very minuscule amount of milk is all that could be afforded by most- dispensed from a milk churn on a street delivery cart. The fixed brass loop at the back was for attaching the can onto the cart. "J. Richards LTD" impressed on the lid was the name of the dairy farm and, "Hampstead" on the front was the delivery area.
Condition: Beautiful and well-preserved antique condition. No restoration.
