English 19th century LARGE Benham & Sons oval copper steamer, c.1890. Solid and very heavy copper pot weighing 20 lbs., with riveted, solid copper handles, dovetailed seams, and a hand-hammered base. Impressed on the front is the garter mark for "Benham & Sons Ltd, Wigmore St., London". It comes in superb original condition and without repairs, ready to be prominently displayed or repurposed as a wine cooler or planter, etc. Note: It is not tin-lined, as steamers were not normally tinned.
Size: 19 ½"x 13 ½". Total length with handles is 25". Depth is 8 ½".
