Vintage Linen / Flax Textile Cloth - Hand Woven Textile Fabric
European hand-loomed linen cloth woven from homespun flax fibers; circa early to mid-20th century. These textiles originating from remote Serbian villages were traditionally prepared by women in the home and sewn together to make bed linens, towels etc. for bridal trousseaus. Listed for sale are TWO pieces of the same size: 16 ½" x 128" (42cm x 178cm) which are sold together. The fabric is an unbleached, light oatmeal color with blue woven stripes.
Condition: Very good, well-preserved condition without holes. It has been freshly laundered.
