Mid – late 19th century, salvaged gilded metal fretwork panel of concave form and, with highly ornate, scrolled acanthus leaf cut-out decoration. This architectural element is constructed from a cast-iron sheet, retains its original gilding – now very much mellowed and worn (as shown)- and for display purposes, is free-standing. No restoration. Maximum height is 23". Maximum width is 16".
