19th century English miniature travelling church font made in white salt-glazed stoneware and manufactured by Minton with an impressed cypher mark for the year 1866. The font features a beautiful octagonal molded form in Pugin, Gothic-revival style, and comes in excellent condition. There is minor damage to the lid in the form of one chip to an exterior corner, one in an interior corner and a "C-shaped" hairline on the inside rim, as shown. Height with lid is 8 ½". Maximum width is 7 ½".
