Late 19th century French jewelry, stationary or trinket wood box in beautifully worn, white lacquered paint, and decorative metal surmounts. The interior, also worn, retains its original red satin cloth and paper lining. The underside of the box is also covered with original paper. The clasp for opening and closing the box is a little stiff. There are no repairs or restoration to this box; its' condition is commensurate with genuine, age-related wear. It measures 8" in length, 3 ½" in width and 2" in height.
