Folk art Santos sculpted by Jude Kapron

Mz. Daphne

She was inspired by Cinderella's ball. All the beautiful ladies in their finest ball gown's. She is of course a little Avant-garde for the ball but that is why she is Mz daphne. She was featured in the August edition of Doll Art Quarterly. She is sculpted mostly from paper mache but her arms are sculpted from clay. She is on a handmade wooden base.I have made her wig from mohair which had been applied by individual strands.I have used many layers of paint to give her a nice distressed look. Her skirt is made from a old slip and she stands 17" tall.
