Exquisite Shaker Society hand-crafted rectangular dove-tailed sewing carrier with old pink satin lining in original finish. Shaker dovetail construction on both ends. Measures 5-1/2" x 3-1/4" x 2-1/2".
Original pink satin lining shows its age. Carrier contains large mushroom pin cushion; strawberry emery; turquoise darning egg;woven basket thimble; etc.
Purchased from a private local collection at auction in New Lebanon, New York. Came from either Mount Lebanon, New York or Hancock, Massachusetts Shaker Communities.
