1916 Polish Language Christmas Vintage Postcard - Krakow, Poland Publisher-Jersey City, New Jersey Postmark - Brooklyn, New York Address - Polish Message

Vintage 1916 Polish language Christmas postcard, features a hand-colored lithographed photo of a man and woman holding hands next to a small modestly decorated table-top Christmas tree, with an evergreen sprig and Christian icons in the lower left corner. Captioned "Wesolych Swiat!" - Merry Christmas in Polish.

Publisher is identified on the back as "Merkur" of Krakow, Poland. Handwritten Christmas message in Polish bears a postal cancellation of December 20, 1916 from the Jersey City, New Jersey post office, is addressed to Union Avenue in Brooklyn New York.


CONDITION: Standard-sized postcard is in good condition. Areas of wear on all four margins with worn and blunted corners, but no tears. Back is very lightly soiled, but in very nice shape, and the postmark and message are completely legible.
