Doctor Hunt's patent medicine 1883 Victorian advertising trade card - Doctor Hunt's Kidney and Liver Medicine - its "never known to fail" - sold by Hunts Remedy Company of Providence, Rhode Island. Cured a lot of diseases of the kidneys and claimed many other cures. We could use this medicine today!!!

Image is that of a pretty young Victorian girl in a blue sailor's cap and middy blouse. Fine lithograph is signed M&K Co on the front - the full name Major & Knapp Lithograph Co., is printed on the back below the advertising copy. Stamped at the bottom of the back is the name of the Waterbury, Connecticut store, Leavenworth & Dikeman, where this medicine could be purchased. Marked copyright 1883.

This card came from an album started in 1885 full of trade cards, mostly from Connecticut. This card is one-hundred and twenty-seven years old! Measures: 4-5/8" wide x 3-1/8" wide.

CONDITION NOTE: There are no tears or rips. On the back there is one tiny paper loss to one word near the bottom, and some glue discoloration. The front has one very small crease from the middle of her neck almost to edge. It's so slight you can barely notice it.
