1901 Pan American Exposition Souvenir Spoon Machinery and Transportation

This is a silverplate souvenir spoon from the 1901 Pan American Exposition held in Buffalo. The spoon has a buffalo atop a globe showing the continents of North and South America. Down the stem of the spoon is 1901Pan American. The reverse side of the stem has the back of the buffalo and Niagara Falls. The back of the spoon is marked American Souvenir Co. and Pat. The bowl of the spoon has an image of the Machinery and Transportation Building and on the reverse of the bowl is the word Official. There is some minimal discoloration on the bowl. This spoon is 4 1/4 inches long. A nice memento of an event that celebrated the Americas, new international trade and the new age of technologic advancements. I also have another spoon from the series from the 1901 Pan American Exposition showing the Electricity Building.
