A charming pair of Vintage Silhouette reverse painted on convex glass is presented.
Circa 1940's, this pair Vintage silhouettes are painted in black, which is reverse painted on the convex glass. One vintage silhouette depicts a regal looking Victorian styled gentleman with flowers in hand to give to the woman in the other silhouette. She is dressed in a lovely bonnet and the explicit detailing on this reverse painted silhouette, even shows the lace top of her dress. The gentleman is dressed in attire typical of the era, with great detailing as well. Hung side by side, they truly tell a romantic story, with his bouquet of flowers in hand to give to the lovely woman. They are both done in profile. The inside of each Vintage reverse painted silhouette is an off white textured faux leather. They are framed in copper colored metal frames. Each silhouette profile itself is surrounded by black oval reverse painted "frame". Each vintage silhouette measures 4 inches wide and 5 inches tall. BE SURE TO SEE ALL PHOTOS.
The back of these vintage reverse painted silhouettes are the original dark beige cardboard (see photo), complete with original small metal hangers attached, ready for hanging. The sizes are also perfect to display perhaps on small plate stands on a vintage or retro table or shelf.
Both of these vintage reverse painted on glass silhouettes are in perfect condition, making a perfect pair and are free of any damage whatsoever.
