Vintage TELECHRON Wood Clock with Alarm Model 7H209 "Gracewood" Mint Original Label!
Telechron clocks were first trademarked in 1923. Literally in Greek, the word Telechron translates to mean "Time from a Distance." At one time the Telechron Company was owned by GE.
This Telechron Cock, Model 7H209, Gracewood, as stated above, is a wood case clock and is circa 1950's. The case is a rich grainy wood. It measures 4 inches square. It is 2 inches deep. The face of this Telechron clock is an oatmeal color with deeper tones on the border of the face as well as the inside of the face. The numerals are brown as are the hands. The face of this vintage timepiece is bordered in brass. There are also four round brass feet on the bottom of the clock. BE SURE TO SEE ALL PHOTOS.
The bottom of the clock still retains the original paper label which reads: TELECHRON ELECTRIC CLOCK MODEL 74209, DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL ELECTRIC, along with pertinent voltage information. (SEE PHOTO OF LABEL).
The Telechron Clock Company manufactured many different models, and this is a very interesting one. This wonderful vintage wood case clock works absolutely perfectly with the cord being perfect as well. The wood case is in mint condition. The whole clock is in exceptionally wonderful and pristine condition and ready to be used and enjoyed.
