Rare Antique MOP and Bloodstone Watch Key Sterling Silver ~ Georgian Period

The key measures just a hair under 2 3/4" x 1 1/4" with the bail. Both the MOP and the bloodstone measure 1 1/8" x 1". The piece weighs 14.9 grams. The puffy repousse work is impressive. The Sterling Silver was polished by the dealer I purchased it from however in time the warm patina will return.

The hallmarks are Dutch and can be found on the On-line Encyclopedia of Silver Marks. The sword mark appears twice on the side of the key and there is an additional hallmark at the top of the bail which I am 99% sure says AG 99. This would date this key 1835, Late Georgian, Early Victorian.

Other than the 1 very tiny area I mentioned above on the MOP there is only 1 pin point size indentation at 1 O'Clock on the MOP side on the bezel. No other apologies to be made. A fascinating key which can be worn on a chain as a pendant, necklace or added to your finest watch chain. Most certainly fit for the finest of collections. Questions are always welcome.
