Antique Edwardian French Paste Silver Brooch with Brilliant Amethyst Colored Stones
Sensational and Large Edwardian Brooch with beautiful paste Rhinestones. Likely French in Origin. The circa on this piece is 1900 The brooch acid tests for silver and is either 800 or 900. It has beautiful open backed Amethyst colored prong set stones. The paste stones are Collet and bead set. They are exceptionally sparkly. The brooch has the old style safety C clasp which closes securely. It is a large piece and measures just under 3 3/4" across x 1 1/8" wide. It is a beautiful piece which is hallmarked with an F. It is difficult to make out. It is a lovely piece. Questions are always welcome
