I simply could not resist this necklace. Although the pearls are Faux, the clasp is simply wonderful! The faux pearls are very pretty and there is one large pearl in the center which measures 7mm. The next smallest pearls are 5mm's. The graduate down to 2mm's. The necklace measures 15 1/2" long. The most stunning part is the clasp. In the center is a nice size oval bezel set emerald green paste which is multi-faceted. Surrounding the green paste are hand cut mine cut clear pastes. Each clear paste is bead set. The back of the clasp is signed France. The clasp absolutely has the look of genuine diamonds and an Emerald. The clasp has tested for Sterling Silver. The condition is Excellent. Although the pearls are faux, the do have a very pretty luster. The locking clasp inserts and snaps securely into place. It is wonderful the way it is however, if you have been looking for an extra special clasp for either a genuine strand of pearls or another single strand necklace, this would be a beautiful replacement. French, Circa 1910. This sits right on the Edwardian ~ Art Deco Period. Questions are always welcome.
