Bell System was owned by AT&T since 1913 and had their equipment manufactured by Western Electric Company. The base of the phone is hallmarked "The Princess Phone" authenticating it plus "BELL SYSTEM PROPERTY NOT FOR SALE" and the Part Numbers (See Photo). These phones initially were leased to the public and were not for sale until the 1980's!
