RARE Georgene Novelties Raggedy Ann and Andy Doll with Tag c.1947!
Raggedy Andy who is even harder to find is in good condition with no rips, wearing his complete original unfaded blue and checkered outfit including his original hat! The outfit was professionally cleaned as per museum quality standards. It has one metal shoe button and is missing the other. The snaps on his outfit in the back are all workable and intact! He also has a small metal tag near the neckline of his outfit which looks to be where his original hang tag might have been attached to once. He has the original metal shoe button eyes, orange-brown yarn hair that is intact with no missing spots which is so unusual, and painted features! His lip is ever so slightly faded. We are being extremely picky but we want you to have as much information as you may need. He has the common light water stains and one very small mendable hole which is to be expected from the age of the doll. His outfit is in very good condition. He wears the famous painted "I Love You" heart on his chest. This is a one time opportunity where I feel we will never again find a tagged Raggedy Andy doll who also has his original and complete outfit.
Raggedy Ann was right by Andy's side when we saw the two. She is the original Georgene Novelties Raggedy Ann doll with shoe button eyes and painted features all intact but she does not have her tag. She has no rips or holes anywhere and wears the painted "I Love You" heart on her chest also! Her orange-brown hair is intact with no missing spots which is so unusual! Raggedy Ann has some brownish stains on her yarn hair in the back and some common water stains which can be easily removed. Her outfit is an original Vintage Knickerbocker one in excellent condition that must've replaced the original lost one though this outfit suits her nicely. It also has been professionally cleaned as per museum quality standards. Both dolls do have a natural old age scent.
This lovely pair of Rare Vintage Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls were most likely purchased together so we are keeping them that way. Close to each others hearts! What a wonderful gift to give to someone you love this Holiday Season! Please click on pictures to enlarge & see details mentioned.
The buyer of these dolls said this "...I RECEIVED THE DOLLS TODAY. I LOVE THEM THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL . THANK YOU...".
