Black Velvet Evening Dress

Just in time for those holiday parties, Grandma found this awesome evening dress...and later on it would be perfect for that special event. The dress is a nice, soft black velvet, embellished with clear rhinestone buttons and a black satin waistband and bow. There is a slit up the front to about knee level, which nicely mirrors the v-neck design of the front. The dress is partially lined.

It is hard to date this item, but based on the type of zipper we think it dates to about the 60s, but it could be more recent. It is in excellent condition.
