Grandma isn't often enticed by men's items, but this coat came to her as part of a large estate in which the husband was a clothier in New York. There were some fine items in the estate, include this superb men's wool coat. It is a dark navy blue, double breasted dress coat. It has front pockets with flap covers and one interior pocket. Style details include a deep vent in the back and four buttons on each cuff. The only apparent wear is to the Saks Fifth Avenue label at the back of the neck. There is a label that indicates the garment was protected from moths, but no fabric content label (we infer wool from the moth label and the feel of the coat), and no size label.
The approximate measurements are: Shoulders - 18" Sleeve length - 24" Chest - 42 - 43" Length from Collar - 44"
The coat is very heavy - too heavy to register on our postal scale, and too light to register on the bathroom scale. It is also too large to fit in a flat-rate Priority Mail box. Therefore, we have estimated weight that will be used in checkout, and if postage comes out less when this item is shipped we will refund any excess shipping charges.
