Rare Vargas Bracelet
This is a really awesome bracelet about which Grandma can tell very little, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of Vargas pieces of this vintage found on a google search. It appears to be from around 1950 based on the style and materials. It measures about 7" long and it is about 1 1/4" wide. There are large faux mabe pearls on each link, secured to the bracelet with sawtooth settings. Each pearl set off with 4 clear round rhinestones, prong set, and adding just the right touch of sparkle. The links themselves are beautifully detailed with an intricate incised design. The clasp is a v-spring plus safety chain. Overall this stunning bracelet is in very good condition. The front side looks terrific - the nacre on the faux pearls appear to be intact, as is the gold tone plating, and the rhinestones are present and sparkle nicely. There is some wear and discoloration to the plating on the backs of the links, but this cannot be seen at all when the bracelet is worn, and there doesn't appear to be any corrosion to the base metal.
