"PAOLO and PANETTO" is about a spoiled and sheltered little boy who is plagued by bad dreams creeps out at night to the streets of Milan, meets a poor child, and goes to her garden. There the child Pan appears and they go adventuring through the beautiful landscape of Italy.
"FOR THE LEG OF A CHICKEN" is about a boy named Roberto, whose mother was poorer and gave corn pudding with every meal to feed her children. A rich woman sent Roberto to carry a hot dish of roast chicken leg across town to her sick sister. The aroma of that roast chicken leg was more than Roberto could handle, so he decided he would work to be rich so he and his family could eat chicken anytime they wanted. The story is about his adventures.
These large hardcover editions are in very good conditions with no writing or torn pages. The dust covers have a few rips.
