1890's Silver Plated Tiny Chick & Half Hatched Egg Salt Cellar - Marked

For your consideration is a 1890's silver plated salt cellar that display a cute little chick standing next to & kind of holding up a huge half of a hatched egg. They are both standing on a silver plated metal base with a what looks like a lightly raised grass motif design overall. There is a very light gold tone coloring on the metal inside of the egg. It is marked on the bottom: Quadruple Plate, 430, Roger Smith & Co. Someone had also written above the mark: Victoria, Salt 1890. It is absolutely precious & a must for any salt cellar collection! It is in excellent older & hardly used condition. Approx.: 1 3/4"T X 2"L X 1 1/2"W. (Check out the nice variety of salt cellars & salt spoons in our shop, too! Thanks!)
