Here is a stunning black watermark silk clutch purse with handle on the back. Made in the early 1920s it is in very good condition. On the purse there are two open pockets on the front outlined with gold lame. Also a piece of silk runs from the back to the front in the middle and ends with the gorgeous jeweled pendant in the middle of the purse. It is set in gold tone metal filigree setting with a twisted ribbon edge and a row of pink moonstone cabochons and a bezel set gold rhinestone in between each of them. There is a large glass faux opal stone. It does show some blue and red colors. There are stones on the top and bottom of it. There are also gold tone metal filigree with gold rhinestones at each bottom corner. All stones are present and intact and look amazing. There are two buttons closures to a beige faille silk lined interior. There are two side open pockets and an attached coin purse on the side. The inside of the purse looks good. But there is fraying on the edges and in the crease inside. On the outside there is some wear at the bottom edges and edges of the handle. ALso in the crease line at the top. This would may an amazing display piece with the right lighting. Measurements are 9 inches wide and 5 inches tall and 1 inch deep.
