19th Century Staffordshire Single Dog (Spaniel) Red & White

This is a red early Staffordshire dog, originally one of a pair. It is a single. The colors are red and white. The eyes are painted. The paint has flaked off of much of one eye. The nose is painted black. The dog measures 7 1/4" tall. There is a vent hole in the bottom. As shown in the photo, there is a tight hairline crack across the base and up one side to the neck. It appears to be very stable. The gilding on the color and locket is worn. This displays quite well and can be purchased at a very low price.
