Very Early Advertising Tin, LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD, Vermicelle

This tin is identified as a Mazawattee "Fairy Tale" tin, circa 1890. The only mark is Vermicelle. The lid has a portrait of LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD. The front has her with her basket of cookies leaving her Mother. The next side has her encountering the wolf. The back has the girl knocking on grandmother's door. The last shows the wolfe in bed with Grandmother's cap and Little Red Riding Hood sitting beside the bed visiting. The tin has been around a long time and shows its use and wear. The lid has been battered. The sides have oxidation and some loss of the lithograph finish. The tin measures 3 3/4" on a side and 7" tall. Very collectible in spite of the condition.
