Lovely Green Papier Mache Handkerchief Box, Mums

In days of old, no respectable lady would be without her lace handkerchief. Today we grab a couple of tissues. There are wonderful old handkerchiefs around and those who collect them. This box was made for storing those great hankies. It is papier mache with a green finish. Most are black. The inside is coral. The lid is tole painted with colorful chrysanthemums. The box measures 7 1/2" on a side and 1 1/2" deep. It shows minimal wear.
