Lovely Square Pyrography Handkerchief Box, Unusual Design

Pyrography was an art commonly practiced around the turn of the 20th century. Companies sold kits for burning the wood boxes, frames, plaques, etc. The handkerchief box is unusual in that it does not have the common stamped designs. It has a drape design with a multitude of flowers. The center and background edges are stippled. The box measures 6 3/8" on a side and 2 1/4" deep. It has its original latch and hinges. A bit of wear on the corners. A very nice box. There is a company stamp on the bottom. I cannot make it out. It is an oval and the work in the lower half of the oval is "mark".
