World War I Brass Shell Casing Modified for Vase

This brass cylinder vase was once a WW I shell casing. It measures 10" tall. It has been cut from its original length. It is a 75 mm shell. The base is solid with no marks. There is evidence this is a replacement. A top has also been added with a threaded hole. I am not sure of the intended purpose of modification, but it serves quite well as a decorative brass vase. The seem on the cylinder is quite evident and there are minor dents. This gives the vase lots of character. This is a true conversation piece.
