19th Century Bird Engraving by LIZARS, Pair of TERNs, Matted

This is a detailed engraving with original hand-coloring by William Home Lizars, a Scottish painter and engraver (1788-1859). It is a page from Sir William Jardines' Naturalist's Library, Published in Edinburgh and London, circa 1840. This is plate #22 THE BLACK TERN AND THE LESSER TERN. It is beautifully matted and backed with acid free material. There is a certificate of authenticity on the back. The total size is 9" x 12". Excellent condition.
