1904 British Biscuit Tin, Huntley & Palmers, HANDBAG

This biscuit tin has a faux leather finish. There is a handle, a latch, and 2 clasps. The hinged lids fold back. All are working perfectly. The tin measures 8" x 6" x 4". The bottom is marked Huntley & Palmers Biscuits Reading London. The original color was probably that shown on the bottom. The sides and top have faded to a pale greenish gold. There is extensive oxidation. It is fascinating how Huntley & Palmers designs so many kinds of closures. The hinges and closures are in excellent working condition.
