1870 Joseph Smit Hand-Finished Chromolithograph from PZS, Ducks

This chromolithograph was accomplished by Joseph Smit (1836-1929) and cut from the "PROCEEDINGS OF THE ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY" (PZS). This plate measures 9" x 6.5" It is marked on the bottom identifying the lithographer as J. Smit and the printer as M & N Hanhart. The PZS 1870 Pl XXXVII identity is in the upper right hand corner. The Latin names of the ducks, male & female is METOPIANA PEPOSACA (Rosy-Billed Duck). This is a lovely print and suitable for framing.
