This botanical engraving is from THE BOTANICAL REGISTER by Sydenham Edwards Published by James Ridgway et. al., in London 1815-1847. Syd Edwards accompanied William Curtis on his botanical travels as an artist and worked with Curtis many years on the BOTANICAL MAGAZINE. Following a disagreement with Curtis in 1815 he started a rival publication, THE BOTANICAL REGISTER with detailed hand colored copper plate engravings. He had several illustrators. This one is White. I have acquired several of these engravings. This one is plate 226, an orange lily, published 1817. The artist, publisher, and engraver information is printed on the bottom. The paper measures 6 1/4" x 9 3/4". Excellent condition. Suitable for framing. I have many small prints. Multiple purchases will be combined for single shipping price.
