Beautiful CA 1840 Print, SUN BIRD, Lizars, Stewart, Jardines

This print measures 4" x 6 1/2". It is a very detailed engraving by William Home Lizars, a Scottish painter and engraver (1788-1859. It is taken from a volume of Sir William Jardines' NATURALIST'S LIBRARY published in Edinburgh and London, c. 1840. It is hand colored by J. Stewart. The top is marked plate 16. The bottom is marked NECTARINIA VIOLACEA Native of S. Africa. Stewart del Lizars SC. This is beautifully done. Very Good condition.
