Vintage Murano Glass Clown Holding a Saxophone

Long ago when I was a child, (1950's), we looked forward to opening the Christmas gift from my uncle. One year, we opened it and it was this wonderful, colorful glass clown holding a guitar. My parents treasured that clown and kept it displayed in the book shelves in the family room. When my son was a child, the colors caught his eye and he always wanted to play with it. Of course, he wasn't allowed. When he graduated from college, my Mother gave him the clown. He received another clown from my sister as a wedding gift. Of course when you have 2 of something, you become a collector. I bought many clowns over the years and added to his collection. We all still like these clowns, especially those with an instrument. This clown is holding a saxophone. He measures 8 1/2" tall. His small hat is black topping his bright yellow hair. He has a large orange collar. His body is clear glass with red stripes spiraling inside. He appears absolutely perfect. Great for adding to or starting your collection.
