This is a popular Art Nouveau jewelry casket from the early 1900's. It was made of cast metal, then plated with gold. It was lined with fine pale-colored silk and trimmed with a fine twisted silk cording. The bottom lining is there, but tattered. The lining in the lid is missing. The box measures 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" x 2 1/2". The bottom is marked 122 B & W (Brainard & Wilson Corporation). This box is in good condition. There is some gold loss on the bottom.
