Lovely Silverplate Playing Card Box, Ellis-Barker, England, 1912+

This is a very nice rectangular silver plate box. The inside has removable dividers to make the box hold 4 decks of playing cards. However, standard cards of today a a bit large for the box. The box measures 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 3 1/4". The top has an engraved crest with a lion on top. The bottom is marked with a Menorah mark and the word England. This is a 1912 and beyond mark of the Ellis-Barker Silver Company from Birmingham, England. There are some spots of tarnish and light pitting. A very nice box.
