Antique Needlework Framed Under Glass, Sampler & Embroidery

This is an unusual combination of 3 pieces of needlework from the late 19th century. The three pieces are attached to a fabric backing and framed in a gilt frame with glass. The overall measurement is 18 1/2" x 31". The top piece is wool crewel-work with bunny and mushrooms. The center circle is an oriental silk embroidery. There appear to be grease spots on this piece. The bottom is a sampler from the late 1800's with the alphabet and 3 sample squares. The name on the bottom is J. G. Thomson. The frame is lovely but does have some damage to the gesso decoration.
