Lovely Hand-Colored Engraving Butterfly GATE-KEEPER Morris

This colored plate is from the book_ A History of British Butterflies by The Rev. F.O. Morris, B.A. published in London by Groombridge and Sons, Paternoster Row 1865. Rev. Morris was a member of the Ashmolean Society and life member of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. The page measures 6" x 9 3/4". The butterfly is the GATE-KEEPER. The print is somewhat darkened with age, but suitable for framing.
