1840 Detailed Engraving by William Lizars, SMOOTH HOUND & PORBEAGLE

This print measures 4" x 6 1/2". It is a very detailed engraving with original hand-coloring by William Home Lizars, a Scottish painter and engraver (1788-1859. It is taken from a volume of Sir William Jardines' NATURALIST'S LIBRARY published in Edinburgh and London, c. 1840. The top is marked plate 25. The bottom is marked 1. THE SMOOTH HOUND 2. THE PORBEAGLE. Steward del. Lizars SC. This is beautifully done. Good condition.
