This is a wonderful fur clip, most likely from the late 1940''s or 1950's. After WWII in the 1950's, this era seemed to be the height of the glamour period. Many people sacrificed luxury items during the war, such as metals, nylons and even food was rationed. People sacrificed so much for the war effort. But after the war it was all about glamour and glitz. Furs, designer gowns, gloves and hats were the rage and rhinestone jewelry of all colors and sizes.
Now back to the clip.
The clip is in very good to excellent condition. No missing stones. Many of the blue and green glass stones are marque shaped. The brooch or Fur chip could be used for cardigans, scarfs or other add-ons to your accessories. It is very glamorous and just fabulous at close to 3" long and 2 1/4" at the widest part of the clip. The clip is very functional. Stunning. I find no name on this piece.
I had a viewer that commented on this piece and said it was a dress clip rather than a Fur Clip. It was sold to me as a Fur Clip and with the size I assumed it was a fur clip. Any other comments? We want to know!
