Micro Mosaic Box Italian 1900- Purple Velvet Lining-
In wonderful shape is this beautiful box from Italy made with a mini Micro Mosaic flower design on top. This box is a nice size at 3" across by 2 1/4" deep and 1 1/4" tall.
Very hard to find, the metal gold box is lined in a plush, purple velvet. May have been used for jewelry or trinkets. I have replaced the one tile that is missing in these pictures. In beautiful shape, except someone has scratched their initials on the back side. Still a treasure to find the smallest of tiles on the top of this nice size box. These were made at the Turn of the 20th Century.
