Early 1920's Italian Murano Jumbo Hand-Blown Glass Bead Necklace Embedded Florals

The crystal clear glass beads are embedded with beautiful petite florals which resembles roses in pretty pink hue variations which create fabulous 3-dimensional beauty. Floating in and around the flowers are irregular shapes of pure white snowy pieces of hand blown glass. Sparkling gold, copper and bronze aventurine trailings swirl around inside each bead and add just the perfect amount of glitz.

Each of the (17) flower beads is encased on both ends with pretty lacy filigree scalloped edge gold tone end caps. There are round, faceted glass crystals between each hand-blown glass bead to prevent the Beads from touching each other & preventing any damage.

When you compare these beautiful hand-blown beads to a necklace of even 50 years ago there is such a notable difference in the quality and precision of craftsmanship.

The Necklace secures with a spring-ring clasp which is in perfect working condition. The Necklace is strung with perfect tension so that it drapes beautifully with perfect fluidity around the neck.

Measurements: The Necklace measures 17 1/2" Long.

The hand blown glass beads are carefully embedded with tiny pieces of glass cut from previously hand blown glass canes. The Murano Artisan then smooths and polishes the bead, obtaining the finest and highest quality beads that are envied by other bead makers. The complete making of these perfectly magnificent beads is a secret, like many others of the workshops on the Murano Island, and it is jealously guarded in the family tradition.
