We are proud to offer this Highly Collectible Vintage Native American Zuni Bolo Tie that features a 2 1/4” L x 1 3/4” W, Rainbow Man Bolo Slide of Sterling Silver, with stone-to-stone inlay of Natural Blue Turquoise, Coral, Mother-of-Pearl and Jet, set in serrated sterling silver bezels. The unusual treatment of the sterling silver feather design along the outer edge of this work stands out from the norm. There are beautiful sterling silver coiled Ear Treatments, with 2mm raindrops which further embellish the over-all design.
The braided genuine leather tie measures 39” long, including the 2 1/2” long sterling silver cone tips, with double 8mm, corrugated sterling silver beads on the ends. The Slide is secured with a patented “Bennett” Clasp which is in perfect working condition. The Clasp reads "BENNETT PAT. PEND.
Excellent Condition with the exception of one small crack on the coral section of the manta (skirt) in the left hand corner but the stone is totally secure.
Age: 1960’s – 1970’s. Not marked but tested Sterling Silver. Signature/Marks: “A. H." and a Bear Stamp. This Signature represents ALONZO HUSTITO, who lived from 1910 – 1990. Alonzo is credited as the Originator of the Rainbow Man and Knife Wing Figures in Zuni Jewelry.
