The Margaret Rudking Pepperidge Farm Cookbook -- 1965

"The Margaret Rudkin Pepperidge Farm Cookbook" was illustrated by Erik Blegvad and copyrighted 1965. This wonderful vintage cookbook was designed by Harry Ford and published by Grosset & Dunlap. The book is written in five sections with text and recipes in each: Part One, Childhood; Part Two, Country Life; Part Three, Pepperidge Farm; Part Four, Cooking from Antique Cookbooks; and Part Five, Ireland.

The book contains wonderful stories of the author's travels and memories as well as recipes for dishes including Ground Beef A La Lindstrom, Saffron Buns and Quince Cream. The section on "Cooking from Antique Cookbooks" is very informative and includes more wonderful recipes.

Just about every page of this vintage book has a wonderful full color illustration. The section headings have full page illustrations.

The book has cream cloth covers with a paste-down illustration on the front. The book is in good vintage condition with some soiling and marking on the front cover. The pages are clean with some dog earring on a few. The binding is tight. A great copy of a classic cookbook.
