Ladies Home Journal Cook Book 1960s vintage cookbook with recipes, photographs of retro kitchen design and table settings. Stated 1st Edition published in 1960.
Dust jacket reads, "This is the first and only Ladies' Home Journal Cookbook, awaited by American's women for more than 75 years. Here, for both expert and inexperienced cooks, are over 2000 superb recipes--from quick and easy to adventurous and exotic--with two big bonus features: More color illustrations than any other basic cookbook, placed through the book. Complete recipes wherever the book opens"
This great vintage cookbook also features a section called "Your Kitchen and You" which has wonderful color photographs of the day's most modern kitchens (pink and turquoise are two of the favorites).
This book is complete with its dust jacket. The book has salmon boards with grey cloth binding. It looks like it wasn't used much if at all. The pages are exceptionally clean and the binding is tight as a drum. The dust jacket has seen better days. It has been taped where the front tore at the spine and has chips missing at the bottom.
A real blast from the past with recipes that are as good today as they were then.
