"Marguerite de Angeli's Book of Nursery and Mother Goose Rhymes" was written and illustrated by Marguerite de Angelin, a Caldecott Honor winner. The dust jacket reads, "Jovial King Cole, sly Taffy, dainty Bo Peep, and hundreds of others live anew in a magical never-never-land of Mother Goose in which today's children will find themselves completely at home. These are pictures that reflect the dreams of childhood."
The wonderful full color and black and white illustrated pages were copyrighted in 1954. This delightful childrens' book is in excellent vintage condition and is complete with its dust jacket. The dust jacket has some green and orange marker on the front which does not bleed through to the cover. There is some scuffing on the dust jacket as well as bumping at the corners and a very small tear on the surface of the spine. The book is in excellent condition. The binding is tight and the pages are clean.
