1966 Houstonian Yearbook Houston Texas

"Houstonian '66 - University of Houston Volume 32" was edited by Jane Whitaker. This is a true look back into the history of Texas, The University of Texas and the nation. This 1966 edition shows the turmoil and controversy our country was in at that time.

During that year visitors to the University of Houston included Billy Graham, Madelyn Murray O'Hair, Saul Alinsky and even the Ku Klux Clan. Chronicled in the album are war protests, including draft card burning; ROTC cadets getting ready for the Vietnam war; black face fraternity men getting ready for a performance and scientists who were accomplishing major feats.

This oversized vintage book has green cloth covers with blue embossed title. It has a plastic cover which protects the boards. The pages are clean and the binding tight. There is a crease on the bottom right corner of the inside front cover.
