Silver Screen - Vintage Magazine 1950 Elizabeth Taylor

This edition of "Silver Screen" was published in January of 1950. It features Maureen O'Hara on the cover and is titled "Highlights of The Love Year In Hollywood!". Inside features are studded with black and white and color photos and include titles: "Why I'd Love My Daughter To Be In Pictures" by Shirley Temple and "She's A Big Girl Now!" extolling the virtues of Elizabeth Taylor (while still a teenager) in her first "grownup role" in "Conspirator". Other actors and actresses featured in the edition include Clark Gable, Montgomery Clift and Danny Kay.

Of course there are wonderful advertisements for upcoming attractions including Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra in "On The Town" as well as advertising for Cashmere Bouquet hand lotion and Tootsie Rolls.

This vintage magazine is in good condition. with some light scuffing on the cover and chipping on the edges. The binding has a tear to the staples on the front cover but not the inside pages. There is yellowing of the pages as would be expected of a magazine this age. The binding is tight and the pages are clean.
