This vintage piece of camera equipment is called the Practos Junior Extinction Light Meter. Made in Germany, it comes in its original box with the instructions (in German) and a leather case.
This is a beautiful piece to look at let alone use. There is an eye-piece that shows shutter speed values. The film speed is set on one ring. The end of the barrel is twisted until the extinction point is reached, the shutter speed can then be read on the barrel.
The scale is silver toned with two bands of gold-toned measurements on either side. The view finder telescopes out to be used.
This piece is in excellent vintage condition. The box has some scuffing and a lifted spot at the top corner. The case is tight and clean. The instructions have worn creases where they've been folded. The finder itself has a nice patina. The meter measures 4" when telescoped out and 3" when folded.
